3D Optical Inspection Equipment

This 3D inspection equipment uses laser projection technology. Through the 3D image analysis, a 3D digital model of the measured object is constructed.

The most important requirements of this equipment are high UPH (unit per hour) and high stability.

Upon using PBA Systems DX B Ironless Linear Motor, there was an increase in motion performance with better acceleration and deceleration. Higher speed was obtained with shorter acceleration distance, while a smoother motion also lends the system more stability and less position errors.

High Speed & High Precision Laser Scriber Machine for Solar Panel Industry

This machine is used for laser marking applications. Dense lines are engraved on solar power silicon plates, hence the customer requires high precision motion.

There are two axis of this machine. The X-axis is driven by a servo motor. While the Y-axis uses PBA Systems DX B Ironless Linear Motor for high speed and high precision motion with low velocity ripple.

The DX B linear motor’s high speed allows for processing efficiency while its smooth motion allows for smooth and accurate line engraving.

System Configuration
  • PBA Systems DX B Series Ironless Linear Motor Module – DX65BT-C8P
    • Stroke = 1800mm
    • Speed = 1.4m/sec
    • Acceleration = 1.5G
  • Driver – PBA MaxTune driver
  • Controller – ACS Analog current  command controller

Micromachining

Presently, there is a trend towards miniaturization of consumer products, which means micron-precision parts are in demand more than ever.

Micromachining requires high precision axes with smooth motion and little following error, and thus PBA Systems DX B Series Ironless Motors are being used in the design of a micron and sub-micron precision multi-process hybrid micromachining equipment.

The lack of cogging and backlash enables linear motion that’s ideal for very precise machining.

The DX B linear motor’s high speed also allows for processing efficiency while its smooth motion allows for smooth and accurate line engraving.
